Bike Trips

The weekend trip from Georgetown to Cumberland on the C&O canal towpath was so much fun! It was a perfect blend of challenging and relaxing. With Claire’s guidance and the support of a small group, I found myself able to bike further than I thought I could in three days. Our group bonded so quickly with each other and I made memories that I’ll cherish for a long long time!
Yes, we ran into a few problems (bad weather, mud, mechanical failures, etc.), but that’s just part of the thrill of bikepacking. Through every problem we faced, Claire was prepared to help all of us get back up and running, organize accommodations, and even cook us a couple treats like hot chocolate on a cold night 🙂
I couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. I already booked my next trip!

This was my first bike-packing experience, and it made me excited to do more. From start to finish, Claire excelled at making sure everyone felt prepared, comfortable and welcomed. She has a wealth of bike knowledge and experience, and she set the right tone for everyone in our group to bond and have fun.

The highlight was the single track, which was difficult but a good challenge. At one point my bike rack broke and Claire swooped in with an emergency repair and got us to a bike shop for a permanent fix.

Overall, this trip helped grow my appreciation for biking, and build my confidence for more bike camping trips ahead. Highly recommend this if you’re new to bike-packing, or if you just want to hang out with other cool people who bike.
